Shelly Garza

Principal Curator

Hi, I am Shelly! My philosophies and practices around interior/exterior design are to incorporate and highlight what is most celebrated by you in your living and or workspaces that allow you to focus on and live a healthier, happier, more meaningful and better-balanced life. I love designing and enhancing spaces that positively influence human experience. Successful design has been shown to have clear psychological and physiological impact on lives; successful design elements can evoke positivity, uplift moods, reduce stress and anxiety and promote productivity and increase the quality of live you are living.

Influenced by my bi-coastal experiences mixed with my love for travel, I celebrate creating spaces that are comfortable, functional, harmonious and inviting to be a part of. These are the types of spaces that you will want to celebrate, live in, share and enjoy.

Designing and curating elements within a home or workspace as simplistic or as complex as it may demand allows lifestyles to be enhanced with the purpose of living a deeper more meaningful life, a life with a greater sense of well-being.

CURATE was launched after years of friends asking for design direction. Often, I would hear something like, "can you bring some elements into my house that make it look more finished or more like home" or I would be presented with questions alike "can you just make some adjustments to the spaces in my house that you find will make it function better and to feel more complete.” We look to optimize everything else in our lives, why wouldn’t we look to optimize the spaces in which we live?

It has been said that if you do what you love, you'll never work another day, and I can say, I believe that adage!

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from

San Jose State University with a minor in Fine Arts.
